Television meets Bollywood

It's not easy for TV actors to enter the Hindi film industry. They are usually given a step motherly treatment. If you are okay with the roles in films of a sister, aunt and such meagre roles, then being on TV might help but it's not the same if you want to play a key role in movies.

Many televsion stars couldnt find success in bollywood including some popular television stars like amar upadhyay, rohit roy, ronit roy and shweta keswani.

However the trend is changing now with two TV stars breaking in this age old belief that TV stars cant make it big in bollywood. Stars like Rajeev khandelwal and Prachi desai have proved with their hardwork, dedication and outstanding acting skills that theres nothing in this world that is not achievable. Both these Tv stars won critical acclaim for their performance in Aamir and Rock On respectively and are yet basking in praises from the audience.Both of them have signed more films to keep this trend going.
